Only 4 km away from the hotel lies the Odivelas reservoir. This is an ideal place to go to if you fancy nautical sports, biking, walking, hunting, fishing and other leisure activities.
Castles, museums, old ruins (some of which are among the oldest in Europe), markets and breath taking scenery are all here.
You can also find, dotted around this vast region, a wide selection of small hamlets, villages and towns where you will find a lot of interesting things to see..

There are quite a few wineries within this region too, and a lot of them, after a quick telephone call, will open for wine tasting. Also, the Alentejo is well known for it’s variety of regional culinary delights.
Although about a 45 minute drive away, you should go and take a look at Europe’s biggest reservoir. The Alqueva dam, built on the river Guadiana, was only finished in February 2002 and when it is full it will have a shore line of more than 1,000 km!
